Project Description
Personal Impact Statement
This pavilion, designed for the Dubai 2020 Expo comprises of three levels of exhibition function. Each of the three zones provides a different spatial dynamic and experience for the installations and exhibits. The entry was selected to undergo a proof of concept stage in order to test its constructibility.
BIM coordinator, design management and guiding the interoperability of design and documentation software. The challenge at hand was to develop the bespoke design whilst sharing and federating
consultant input to produce high quality documentation - all within a three week time constraint. It was evident that a unique workflow was required whereby the design could be further developed in tandem with design team input and technical documentation.
The system employed allowed for the fast and reliable transfer of geometric and graphic information from design software into Revits’ common data environment, utilising Dynamo. From start to finish both conflicts and design solutions could be relayed quickly between all parties, optimising use of the allocated time.
