Personal Impact Statement

Zhuhai CEC is strategically located at the Pearl Estuary with close proximity to Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau. Located in the central core of the new Shizimen Central Business District, the overall development comprises an approximate GFA of 980,000sqm. When Phase 2 is completed, it will further catalyse economic development, positioning the wider Hengqin region as Southern China's primary financial centre.

I was the design architect for both retail and towers from the early design stages through to early construction stages. Working with design team and local technical designers to coordinate bespoke facade design ouitcomes, I managed complex envelope geometry and navigated complex client organisational structure.

My development of parametric design solutions with allowed for a flexibility to geometric and programmatic changes. Furthering this approach I used parametric flexibility with designing adaptable facade details that could be modified with changes in envelope form.

The resulting design has won many international design awards with the final scheme visible demonstrating the benefits of designing for change.
